Ingredients
-
3 g Matcha
-
30 g hot water
-
30 g frozen strawberries (cut)
-
15 g sugar
-
120 g milk
-
Whipped cream (frozen or spray type for stability)
-
Matcha powder (for finishing)
-
Freeze-dried strawberry pieces
-
100 g fresh cream
-
12 g granulated sugar
Toppings
Optional – Homemade Whipped Cream (easy batch)
Directions
In a heatproof cup, combine frozen strawberries and sugar, then microwave (600W for 40 seconds).
Prepare matcha paste by whisking matcha with hot water, then pour into the strawberry mixture.
Steam the milk with a milk steamer and pour into the cup.
Generously pipe whipped cream into a tall peak, then finish with a dusting of matcha powder and freeze-dried strawberries.
Recipe Note
Frozen or spray-type whipped cream holds its shape better, making it ideal for café service.
Since commercial whipped cream is often sweetened, the matcha paste here is prepared without sugar to balance the overall taste.
Whipped cream tends to sink, so piping it generously into a tall peak makes for easier preparation and a more festive look .
