Red Bean & Rich Matcha Two-Tone Latte

A matcha latte layered with sweet azuki beans, reminiscent of zenzai. Enjoy by stirring it all together.

Ingredients:

  • Matcha powder: 1.7g (0.06oz)
  • Sugar: 8.5g (0.3oz)
  • Milk: 150ml (5oz)
  • Sweetened azuki beans: 3 tablespoons
  • Kinako (roasted soybean flour): to taste

Instructions:

  1. Warm 150ml of milk. Froth 50ml using a milk frother and set aside.
  2. In a separate container, mix the matcha powder and sugar with 100ml of the warmed milk until well combined.
  3. In a cup, place the sweetened azuki beans at the bottom, then pour the matcha milk mixture over them. Top with the frothed milk and sprinkle with kinako.
